What Five Stage Inspection Actually Checks

A stage-by-stage account of the five inspection points on a Termiki order, from incoming raw material to the pre-shipment sample drawn by QC staff.

Why the number matters less than the placement

Any factory can say it inspects. What decides whether inspection is useful is where in the process it happens, because a fault caught at the moulding machine costs a shift and a fault caught at the port costs a shipment. Five stages are written into every Termiki order for that reason.

Stage one: incoming raw material

Resin and fabric are checked on arrival against what the signed golden sample was built from. A material substitution that gets past this point will not be visible again until a customer complains about feel or colour.

Stage two: injection moulding

First-off parts are checked at the machine. Because moulding happens in our own workshop rather than at a subcontractor, a correction happens on the same shift instead of in the next available slot on someone else's schedule.

Stage three: assembly

Seals, scoops, valves and fittings are checked as they go together. This is the last stage at which a sealing fault is cheap, which is why leak-related complaints trace back to factories that skip it.

Stage four: packing

Carton contents, colour box, labelling and barcodes are checked against your packing list. Most customs and DC queries come from a mismatch introduced here, not from the product.

Stage five: pre-shipment sampling

A sample is drawn and inspected by professional QC staff rather than by the operators who built the goods. The separation is the point: the people checking are not the people being checked.

What you should ask any supplier

Not how many inspections, but who performs the last one and against what reference. If the answer is the production line and no signed sample, the inspection is a formality.
