Every Seamless Activewear We Publish

Seamless is the largest part of what this factory makes and the part that decides most enquiries. The body comes off the machine as a tube, so the shaping, the ribbing and the support zones are knitted in rather than cut and stitched. That removes the side seam, which is where cut and sew activewear rubs, and it makes compression repeatable because the same programme runs on every piece. Minimum for seamless styles is 300 pieces per colour because the machine has to be set up for the programme.

Seamless Activewear Questions

Why is the minimum higher on seamless than on cut and sew?
300 pieces per colour rather than 200. A seamless body is produced by setting the machine up for a knitting programme, and that setup is what the minimum pays for. Adding styles in the same fabric and colour brings it down, because the fabric order is shared.
Can you knit our own shaping zones?
Yes. The zones, the rib placement and the mesh are all part of the knitting programme, so they are developed with the technical team before the first sample rather than added later.
How thick can the fabric go?
The compositions this factory publishes for seamless styles run from 92% nylon with 8% spandex up to blends carrying polyester, and the weight is set with the mill at development. No weight figure is published for the existing styles, so it is confirmed in writing against your sample rather than quoted here.
Do you make matching tops and bottoms?
Yes. Bras, tanks, leggings, tights, biker shorts and a jumpsuit are all knitted in this range, which is what makes a set match in colour and hand feel.
