Private Label And Printing
Printing is where private label programmes go wrong, because a plate cannot be unmade. This page sets out exactly which method suits which artwork, what the quotation includes, and where the point of no return sits.
How This Runs Step By Step
The Commercial Detail
- Heat transfer decal is CMYK printing with two white bases and glue, which is what the set up cost covers
- Decal cost itself is charged by square metre of decal used
- A processing fee applies below 1000 square metres of printing in one run
- Silk printing is charged colour by colour; big size or full colour silk printing is not considered
- Free plastic colour chips against your PANTONE colour are supplied for the body colour
- The quotation includes a 1C sticker or 1C instruction sheet; colour stickers, hang tags and printed bags are extra

Questions About Private Label And Printing
Why is a paper proof so important?
Because the plate is made from it. Once you approve the paper proof the set up cost is committed and is not refundable, so it is worth reading carefully.
Can you print full colour photographs?
Yes, by heat transfer decal. Silk printing cannot carry photographic artwork and we will say so rather than attempting it.
How is a wrap seam handled?
We mark the seam position on the paper proof so you can see where the artwork joins before the plate is made.
What is your minimum order quantity?
3000 pcs per design per item, and not less than US$5,000 per item. A mixed order of several items is normal and is the usual way a first container is put together.
What are your price terms?
FOB Shantou for orders above 25 CBM. For LCL or FCL below 25 CBM the term is Ex-work Shantou plus handling charge. If you need FOB Shenzhen there is a transport fee of US$600 per container from the factory to Shenzhen port. Quotations are valid for one month.
