Most OEM programmes do not need a new mould. They need an existing mould run in your colour, with your decoration, packed to your carton. This page explains where that line sits and what a genuine new tool actually costs you in time.

The Commercial Detail
- Unit price quoted separately from set up cost, so you can see what is amortised and what is not
- Set up cost for decals covers CMYK plus two white bases and glue; decal cost is charged by square metre
- A processing fee applies when a printing quantity is under 1000 square metres in one run
- Sample decal printing in advance is US$200 each time, if you want to see the print before the plate is fixed
- Decal set up cost is not refundable once you approve the paper proof, and we tell you this before you approve
- Several designs are usually combined onto one plate, which we confirm with you first

Questions About OEM And Custom Moulding
Do you charge for the mould?
New tools and mould modifications are quoted separately. Running an existing mould in your colour and decoration carries no tooling cost.
Who owns a tool I pay for?
Tool ownership is agreed in writing before the tool is cut. Ask for it in the quotation rather than assuming either answer.
Can you copy a sample I send?
We will tell you honestly whether a sample can be matched from an existing mould. We do not copy a design that is clearly another company's protected product.
What is your minimum order quantity?
3000 pcs per design per item, and not less than US$5,000 per item. A mixed order of several items is normal and is the usual way a first container is put together.
What are your price terms?
FOB Shantou for orders above 25 CBM. For LCL or FCL below 25 CBM the term is Ex-work Shantou plus handling charge. If you need FOB Shenzhen there is a transport fee of US$600 per container from the factory to Shenzhen port. Quotations are valid for one month.
