How Colour Matching Actually Works Here

You give us a PANTONE reference. We produce free plastic colour chips in that colour, in the actual material the item will be moulded in, and you approve them before production starts. That approval is the reference the production run is checked against.

Why The Chip Has To Be In The Real Material

The same masterbatch looks different in PP, PS and AS, and different again in a translucent body versus an opaque one. A chip printed on paper or moulded in a different resin proves nothing. If your range spans two materials, ask for a chip in each.

Holding Colour Across A Range

The common failure is a bowl, a plate and a cup bought as one family that arrive in three slightly different whites, because they were moulded in different weeks from different batches. The fix is procedural, not technical: one PANTONE reference held across the whole order, and the categories moulded inside the same production window. That is why we ask for the whole programme at quotation stage rather than item by item.

What A Colour Chip Does Not Cover

• Gloss level, which is set by the mould surface, not the masterbatch
• Translucency, which changes with wall thickness across a part
• Colour under retail lighting, which differs from daylight

If any of those matter to your programme, say so and we will sample the actual part rather than a chip. Product sampling in advance is US$200, which is cheap next to a container of the wrong white.
