Against Car ice shovel SB4001-B
The SB4001-B is moulded in AS and PP at 11cm wide. The SB4001-A is ABS at 11.5cm and adds a toothed edge for breaking hard ice.
Against Lightweight retractable aluminium alloy shovel
The telescopic shovel clears snow from roof and bonnet and carries its own 8.8cm scraper. This model is a glass tool only, at far lower unit cost and cube.
Against Generic flat plastic scraper card
A flat card has no toothed edge and flexes away from hard ice. The moulded ABS body takes hand pressure and cuts in.
Use Guide
- Run the demister first so the ice bond to the glass weakens before you scrape
- Break thick ice with the toothed edge using short strokes, then clear the debris with the blade edge
- Clear the full swept area, both mirrors and the rear window before driving off
- Keep the blade close to flat against the screen; do not stab at the glass
- Store the scraper in the door pocket so it is not locked inside a frozen car
