Heavy Duty Self-Dumping Hoppers Up To 3 Cubic Yards
This is the specification sheet buyers ask for when the hopper has to match a particular fork truck. Every size lists the fork opening at 7-1/2 by 2-1/2 inches and the pocket centre at either 18 or 28 inches, alongside the width, depth and height of the body.

What This Product Is and Where It Fits
Fork compatibility is the first check and the one most often skipped. A hopper with 18 inch pocket centres will not sit on a truck set for 28 inch centres, and adjusting the carriage for every lift is not a workable answer on a busy floor.
The 7-1/2 by 2-1/2 inch fork opening is constant across the whole range, so a truck whose tines fit one hopper in this series fits them all. What changes with size is the pocket centre: 18 inches up to 1 cubic yard, 28 inches from 1.5 cubic yards upward.
Body dimensions run from 26 inches wide at 0.33 cubic yards to 81-3/4 inches at 3 cubic yards. Depth and height step from 49-1/4 by 38-1/4 inches to 69 by 52 inches.
As with the other hopper ranges, volume and weight capacity are specified separately. The 2, 4 and 6 thousand pound ratings appear at several volumes so that dense material can be matched on weight.

Welded steel body and base frame with fork pockets sized to the published opening. Painted from the standard hopper colour range.
ManufacturingHow It Is Made
Body is cut and formed, base frame and fork pockets welded to the published dimensions, tipping pivot and latch fitted, then the hopper is cleaned and painted.
Quality Control
What Is Checked Before Packing
Fork opening and pocket centres are measured on every unit against the size sheet, alongside body width, depth and height. Tipping action is function tested.
