Comparison
Against 16 mm, the 10 mm pipe costs less per metre and hides better, but it takes only a small bundle and leaves no room for a future circuit. Choose 10 mm when the run is dedicated to small gauge signal wire; choose 16 mm when a lighting circuit may be added later.
Use Guide
- Mark the run and set clips at even centres; small pipe shows a sagging line more than large pipe does
- Use a bending spring sized for 10 mm; a larger spring will let the wall fold
- Cut square with a fine tooth saw and deburr the bore before drawing wire

It is intended for small gauge wire such as telephone and data. For lighting, start at 16 mm so there is room to pull and to add later.
