Torsional Rubber Suspension Units for Light Trailer Axles
The suspension setup required modular elastomeric units to handle shock absorption and axle articulation across different load requirements without custom cast assemblies for each variant.
Customer Pain Points
- Varying frame configurations require both plug-in steel tube connections and light metal housing profiles
- Elastomeric inserts must deliver consistent damping across operating loads from 50 N up to 10000 N
- Suspension assemblies need effective vibration isolation with low residual force transmission to the chassis
- Outdoor chassis exposure demands durable surface protection against corrosion and road debris
Manufacturing Process
- 1
Cutting and forming steel inner cores and steel tubes for plug-in connection models
- 2
Extruding and machining light metal profile housings for DR-A and DK-S specifications
- 3
Pressing elastomeric rubber inserts between the outer housing profile and inner steel core
- 4
Applying yellow protection paint across the outer housings to resist environmental exposure
- 5
Final dimensional inspection of tube plug-in interfaces and housing mounting profiles
Client Background
A manufacturer sourcing suspension elements for equipment and trailer axle systems. The client name, order value and order details are not disclosed, so this study covers only the part specifications and manufacturing process.
Project Challenge
The suspension setup required modular elastomeric units to handle shock absorption and axle articulation across different load requirements without custom cast assemblies for each variant.
Our Solution
Supplied modular torsional rubber suspension units using steel inner cores with options for light metal or steel profile housings, coated in yellow protection paint and configured for natural frequencies of approximately 2-3 Hz.
Supply Chain Coordination
Housing fabrication, inner core machining, rubber insertion and protective coating were coordinated in Hangzhou under an ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 production framework.
Quality Control
Housing profile dimensions and plug-in steel tube fits were verified before assembly, followed by checks on the yellow protection paint coverage and rubber core alignment.
Final Result
Torsional rubber suspension assemblies configured to the client specifications, ready for direct chassis mounting across load ratings from 50 N to 10000 N.
Customer Benefit
The buyer secures standardized rubber suspension assemblies across multiple housing formats with natural frequencies around 2-3 Hz without tooling separate custom welded brackets.
