What The Max-T Series High Flow Does In Your Line
Max-T is a 6.75 inch large diameter high flow cartridge with a melt blown polypropylene media pack, an inner core, and an injection moulded outer cage. It runs outside-in, so dirt is captured on the outside of the media pack and remains there during change-out. The 60 inch length maximizes service life and reduces the number of change-outs. It is dimensionally equivalent to the Pentair Aqualine series and drops into those housings without adapters.
Category: High Flow Filter Cartridges · Industries: Water Treatment And RO Systems Oil And Gas Operations Food And Beverage Plants
Why Buyers Pick This Element
- 6.75 inch diameter and 60 inch length reduce the number of cartridges needed per skid
- Outside-in flow path keeps captured solids on the cartridge during change-out
- Melt blown polypropylene media provides consistent pore size and high dirt holding capacity
- 23 times more media surface area than standard 10 inch pleated cartridges
- Wide chemical compatibility with polypropylene media and O-rings
- Dimensional equivalent to the installed Pentair Aqualine series so no housing or piping change is needed
Buyers Who Specify This Cartridge
- Water treatment plant engineers replacing OEM high flow cartridges on an existing skid
- RO system integrators specifying prefiltration for new desalination or process water trains
- Beverage and food plant maintenance teams standardising on one cartridge across lines
- Filtration distributors who need an equivalent series to quote against OEM part numbers
What It Fixes On The Line
- OEM high flow cartridges carry long lead times and high unit cost per replacement cycle
- Filter housings are full and there is no floor space to add another vessel for more flow
- Pleat packs collapse under differential pressure and shed captured solids back into the line
- Solids fall off the element during change-out and contaminate downstream filtrate
- Frequent change-outs due to short service life increase maintenance labour and downtime
Construction Detail
- Large diameter 6.75 inch body with 60 inch length maximises effective filtration area
- Melt blown polypropylene media with absolute pore sizes of 1, 5, 10, and 20 micron
- Single piece full length media pack with no joints along the cartridge
- Inner core and injection moulded outer cage for differential pressure strength
- Outside-in flow path for contaminant retention during change-out
- Positive O-ring seal with wide chemical compatibility across polypropylene materials
Materials Of Construction
- Melt blown polypropylene filtration media, thermally bonded without adhesives or surfactants
- Polypropylene inner core and injection moulded outer cage
- EPDM O-rings for general water and hot water service
- Viton O-rings for aggressive chemical and higher temperature duty
- Buna O-rings for hydrocarbon and general industrial water
- Silicone O-rings where a low extractable elastomer is preferred

Checks Before It Ships
- Dimensional check of outer diameter, length and adapter against the ordered code
- Media pack inspection for collapse, gaps and end cap bond integrity
- Differential pressure check against the 35 PSID at 82.2 ℃ rating
- O-ring compound and seating verification before packing
What We Can Change For You
- Length fixed at 60 inch to match the installed housing
- Micron rating selected from 1, 5, 10, or 20 micron for the duty
- O-ring compound chosen from EPDM, Viton, Buna or Silicone
- Round double O-ring or claw single O-ring adapter to match the existing seat
- Private label printing and carton marking for distributors
How It Compares With The Alternatives
| Standard 10 inch pleated cartridges | Max-T uses a larger diameter and longer length to reduce element count and change-out frequency, but the initial cartridge cost per piece is higher |
|---|---|
| Pentair Aqualine series | Max-T is dimensionally equivalent and drops into the same housings without adapters, but with a lower landed cost and shorter lead time |
| Bag filters | Max-T holds a tighter absolute rating and does not bypass at the seal, but a bag is cheaper for coarse duty |
| Other high flow cartridges | Max-T has 23 times more media surface area than standard 10 inch pleated cartridges, which extends service life and reduces change-out frequency |
Installing And Running This Cartridge
- Confirm housing bore, seat type and cartridge length before ordering; the adapter code must match
- Start clean differential pressure logging from day one so change-out is data driven
- Change out at 35 PSID differential rather than waiting for the maximum pressure
- Do not exceed 82.2 ℃; select Viton O-rings if the duty runs warm or carries solvents
- Flush the housing before fitting a new element so settled solids do not load it immediately
- Lift the element vertically and keep it upright so captured solids stay on the media pack
