Coconut Shell Activated Carbon Filter Cartridges are designed for removal of chlorine, taste, odor and organic contaminants in liquid streams. They use high iodine value coconut shell carbon with a polypropylene media pack, inner core and outer sleeve. The cartridge runs inside-out, so contaminants are captured on the inside of the media pack and remain there during change-out. It is dimensionally equivalent to common OEM series and fits standard housings without adapters. Available in 2.5 inch and 4.5 inch outer diameters with lengths from 10 to 40 inches, and iodine values up to 1000. The series is coded CTO, GAC or ACF with micron rating, length, diameter, iodine value and O-ring compound.
