KV100 Series Economic Frequency Inverter
A cost-controlled general-purpose drive for lathe spindles, fans, pumps and conveyor lines, built to hold full output in a 50 C cabinet.
What the KV100 Is For
The KV100 is KEVAN's economic general-purpose frequency inverter, rated 0.75kW to 22kW on 380VAC three-phase or 220VAC single-phase supply. It is built for machine builders and maintenance teams who need open-loop vector control, real protection functions and a compact footprint at an entry-level price - not a stripped-down V/F box.
Key Benefits
- Open-loop vector control drives both asynchronous and synchronous motors, so one drive family covers a mixed motor fleet.
- Rich parameter set means the same hardware is configured for a spindle, a fan or a conveyor without buying a different model.
- External LED keyboard support keeps commissioning and day-to-day adjustment on the cabinet door, not inside it.
- Full output up to 50 C removes the hidden cost of oversizing the drive for hot months.

Application Scenarios and Buyers
Machine Tool Builders
Lathe and drilling spindles that need steady speed control and an external LED keypad on the cabinet door.
Fan and Pump Contractors
HVAC and water supply installers replacing throttle valves and dampers with speed control.
Food Processing Equipment Makers
Mixers, dough lines and conveyors where a compact drive has to fit an already crowded panel.
Textile Machinery Plants
Multi-motor lines where dozens of small drives are bought at a time and unit price decides the bill of materials.
Logistics and Conveyor Integrators
Roller and belt conveyors that start loaded and run long hours in warm warehouses.
What Goes Wrong Without It
Summer Derating Eats Your Output
Most economy drives start derating above 40 C, so a line that is fine in March loses capacity in July. The KV100 carries no derating up to 50 C ambient.
Dust Kills the Power Section
An independent air duct design keeps the cooling airflow separate from the electronics, so dust particles have far less contact with components.
The Drive Does Not Fit the Panel
High power density packs the rated output into a smaller body, and several mounting methods let you fit existing cabinet layouts instead of rebuilding them.
Nuisance Overcurrent Trips
Wave-by-wave current limiting and layered protection ride through load steps instead of stopping the machine.
Design Details That Matter on Site
Open-Loop Vector Control
Vector control without PG feedback for asynchronous and synchronous motors.
High Power Density Design
Compact body with high output power capability, saving cabinet width.
No Derating up to 50 C
Full rated performance maintained in high-temperature environments.
Independent Air Duct
Improves heat dissipation and minimises dust impact on internal components.
Multiple Installation Methods
Flexible mounting to suit different control cabinet layouts.
Layered Protection
Wave-by-wave current limiting, overcurrent protection and further protection mechanisms.

How It Compares With the Rest of the Range
How the KV100 sits against the other KEVAN series:
| Against KV600 | The KV600 adds closed-loop vector control, 200% peak torque and expansion cards. Choose KV100 when the load is a fan, pump, spindle or conveyor and you do not need encoder feedback. |
|---|---|
| Against KV500 | The KV500 accepts single-phase 220V and outputs three-phase 380V with PV input. Choose KV100 when a proper three-phase 380V or single-phase 220V grid supply is already on site. |
| Against SV13 / SV20 | The SV series is solar-specific with MPPT and AC/DC hybrid operation. Choose KV100 for grid-powered industrial machinery. |
Use Guide
- Match drive rating to motor nameplate power and current, not to the pump or spindle rating.
- Decide supply first: three-phase 380VAC or single-phase 220VAC, and order the matching variant.
- Mount with the recommended clearance so the independent air duct can actually pull air through the heatsink.
- Fit the external LED keyboard on the cabinet door if operators will change speed during production.
- Set motor parameters from the nameplate before enabling vector control, otherwise low-speed torque suffers.
- For conveyors starting under load, extend the acceleration ramp before raising the current limit.
