Custom Paper Bag Development

Every bag programme runs through the same eight steps, and nothing moves forward until the step before it is signed off.

The process

Every Step From Brief to Shipment

Nothing moves to the next step until the one before it is approved, because every change after the die is cut costs time you do not have.

Brief and Structure

You send the dimensions, the product going in the bag and the artwork. We confirm size, top construction and whether the bottom needs a reinforced board.

Paper Selection

C2S art paper, C1S art card, white or brown kraft, special paper or dyed paper, chosen against the print and the load.

Printing Method

Offset printing for CMYK or Pantone accuracy, flexo printing where the kraft line and run size suit it.

Surface Finish

Glossy or matt lamination, foil stamping, embossing, debossing or UV spot.

Handle Choice

PP handles, terylene handles, cotton rope, satin ribbon or twisted paper handles, matched to the bag weight.

Physical Sample

A printed sample is made and approved before the die is cut, so structure and colour are agreed on the real material.

Production

Printing, cutting, die cutting, finishing and bag assembly run in our own workshop under the approved sample.

Inspection and Packing

Inspection during every step, then packing and export documentation from the Xiamen office.

Where it happens

Run on Our Own Presses

Three sets of Heidelberg presses, paper cutting and die cutting machines, a manual foil stamping press and paper bag folding machines sit on one 2,500 square metre floor run by 58 people.

That is why a colour correction, a die change or a structure question is answered by the people who will run the job rather than passed down a chain of subcontractors.

Questions About Custom Paper Bag Development

How long does sampling take?

Sampling time depends on structure and finishing. Send the size and artwork and we will confirm the sampling schedule with the quotation.

Which handle is strongest?

Cotton rope and twisted paper handles carry different loads; the choice is made against the weight of the product and the bag size, and confirmed on the sample.

Can we change size after sampling?

Yes, but a size change means a new die and a new sample, so it is cheaper to settle dimensions before the die is cut.
