This is a heavy duty sickle bar mower attachment for a two wheel tractor, built for orchard, embankment and smallholding operators who have to cut rough growth in places a ride on deck cannot reach. It cuts a 110cm swath and will take bush and small trees of 1 to 2cm diameter, so it handles ground that has been left a season or more rather than only maintained grass. The bar articulates side to side to follow the terrain, which keeps the cut even on banks and uneven headlands instead of scalping the high spots. Cutting height is set at 2 1/2 inches to the skids, and the drive runs through an oil bath gearbox.
