Where does an order actually start

With an email to sales@sdlapelpins.com containing your artwork or idea, the quantity and the date you need it. We answer within 8 hours.

When is the price fixed

At quotation. The price covers the process we recommend for your design, so it does not move unless you change the design or the quantity.

What happens if the proof is not right

We revise it. Nothing goes into production until you approve the proof, because production follows the approved artwork exactly.

How is the balance handled

You can pay in full at invoice or pay a 50 percent deposit with the balance before shipment, by PayPal or bank transfer.

How long does delivery take

Express transit by DHL, FedEx or UPS is normally about 2 to 4 days worldwide once production has finished.

What Happens and Why It Matters

Each stage below lists the problem it exists to prevent, then what we do about it.

Enquiry

You have an idea or a rough sketch and no idea what it costs to make.

Email your idea, quantity and deadline to [email protected]. Enquiries are answered within 8 hours, which covers the time difference to the US and Europe.

Quotation

Suppliers quote different processes so the prices are impossible to compare.

We quote the price together with the process we recommend for your design, so you can see why soft enamel, hard enamel or printing was chosen.

Artwork Proof

A design that looks fine on screen can lose its fine detail once it is struck in metal.

Our designers redraw your artwork as an AI, PDF, JPEG or CDR proof and revise it with you until the details survive production.

Invoice and Payment

Overseas payment terms are the point where most first orders stall.

We invoice after proof approval. Payment is by PayPal or bank transfer, either in full or as a 50 percent deposit with the balance before shipment.

Production

Once production starts, changes cost time and money.

We build strictly to the approved artwork, which is why proof approval matters. Tooling, striking, plating, enamelling and assembly all happen in our own factory.
