Selecting Medal Size and Shape for Your Tournament

Medal diameter and thickness are determined by the design complexity and handling needs. Smaller medals under 40mm suit individual awards, while larger sizes over 50mm work better for team or grand prize recognition. Shapes can follow sport silhouettes like a basketball or football, or use standard circles, ovals, or stars. The shape is defined by your artwork and must be clear for die cutting.

Choosing Enamel Fill and Plating Finish

Soft enamel fills the die recess with colour and leaves the metal edges proud, giving a tactile, handcrafted feel. Hard enamel is polished flat and feels smoother but requires more production time. Plating options include polished gold silver or antique finish, all applied after die striking. The same die can produce gold silver and bronze variants with different plating.

Ribbon Design and Attachment for Event Branding

Neck ribbons are printed to match the medal artwork and can carry event name year sponsor logos or division names. Attachments include a punched eyelet for a metal clip or a fitted jump ring for a loop. Ribbons are made from durable polyester and are supplied attached to the medal.

Managing Place Variants and Order Quantities

Gold silver and bronze medals can be produced from one die with different plating. This ensures visual consistency across all place awards. The minimum order quantity depends on size and finish, and is confirmed with the sales team after your artwork is reviewed.

Packing and Distribution at the Ceremony

Medals are individually bagged to prevent scratching during transport. They are packed in cartons with a packing list for verification. For large events, we recommend ordering a few extra medals per division to cover ties or damaged pieces.
