Most enquiries do not start with a clean part number. They start with a failed component, a machine that is not running and a plate that has been unreadable for years. Please provide the part number to us if you have it. If you do not, this is the part of the job we do before anything is quoted.
How It Works
1 Machine Identity
Make, model, variant letter and serial number from the machine plate. On a P&H shovel the variant letter matters, because XP, XPA, XPB and XPC are not interchangeable throughout.
2 Part Evidence
Photographs of the failed part from two angles, plus close ups of any cast or stamped markings. Where the part is a wear item, a photograph of the mating position helps.
3 Cross Reference
For electrical items we can identify the OEM part number and source the part from first level distributors, which is often faster than reading a burnt component label.
4 Confirmation Before Production
The identified part number, position and quantity go back to you in writing before anything is produced or shipped.
