What The List Is For
A cone crusher rebuild is easier to price when the parts are named the same way by everyone in the conversation. The list below is the set of positions we quote against for Symons Standard and Short Head machines from 2Ft to 7Ft Extra Heavy Duty, and for Gyradisc machines from 36 inch to 84 inch.
Use the position names when you send an enquiry. A line that reads Outer Eccentric Bushing, 5½ Ft Short Head, quantity two needs no further clarification.
The Frame And Its Liners
The main frame carries everything. Its liners and seat liners are consumable protection rather than structure, and they are usually replaced during a major rebuild rather than on a wear schedule.

The Moving Assembly
Main shaft, head and bowl form the crushing chamber. The mantle sits on the head and the bowl liner sits inside the bowl, and those two are the parts a plant buys most often.

The Eccentric And Bushings
The eccentric converts countershaft rotation into the gyrating motion of the head. Bushing condition here decides how long the rest of the assembly lasts, which is why inner and outer bushings are quoted as a pair more often than not.

The Countershaft Assembly
Drive comes in through the countershaft and pinion. The box, bushing, guard and oil flinger are usually inspected together during a shutdown.

The Socket And Step Bearing
The socket and step bearing plate carry the vertical load of the head. Sealing condition at this position is the usual reason oil analysis starts showing bronze.

The Wear Parts
Mantle and bowl liner are the recurring spend. Feed distributor and feed plate protect the top of the machine and are replaced on a longer cycle.
