Mould development and tooling are handled in-house at Yuyao LOL Commodity Package, allowing direct control over new product shapes and modifications to existing tooling without relying on third-party suppliers. This capability supports faster turnaround and tighter alignment with packaging design needs, especially for custom or evolving product lines. All mould-related work is managed internally from concept to completion, ensuring consistency and traceability across production runs.
What Happens At Each Stage
Prototype Validation
The first prototype does not match the intended design, requiring multiple revisions and extended lead times.
We produce a prototype from the new or modified mould and send it to the buyer for approval. Adjustments are made internally before final tooling is finalized.
Production Integration
A new or updated mould is not ready when production starts, delaying the launch of a new product line.
The mould is completed and verified before production begins. Once approved, it is scheduled directly into the production line to ensure on-time delivery.
Export Packing Planning
The buyer cannot plan freight or container loading until the carton count and packing configuration are confirmed.
After tooling is complete, we quote the inner-box count and export carton count for the new product. These values are fixed and included in the quotation for freight planning.

Yes. Once the mould is finalized, we provide the inner-box count and export carton count for the new product. These are quoted on request and used for freight planning.
How long does mould development take?
The timeline depends on the complexity of the design and whether it is a new mould or a modification. We provide a lead time estimate after design confirmation.
Can I see a prototype before the mould is finalized?
