A real sample is the clearest way to communicate shape, finish, and function. Include the cap, pump, and shell if available. The factory uses it to verify tooling fit, test assembly, and confirm surface treatment. Without a sample, the quote is based on assumptions that may lead to revisions.
Include a Technical Drawing if Available
A drawing with dimensions and key features helps the factory assess whether existing tooling can be used or if new moulds are needed. It also clarifies tolerances and assembly points. If no drawing exists, the factory will reverse-engineer the sample using in-house measurement tools.
Provide a Colour Reference
For anodized aluminium or UV-coated plastic, a physical swatch or Pantone code ensures the finish matches your brand. The factory matches the colour during the oxidation or coating stage. Without a reference, the factory may use a standard shade, which may not align with your brand identity.
State Your Target Quantity and Destination
The factory needs to know how many units you plan to order and where they will be shipped. This affects whether existing tooling can be used, whether moulds need to be created, and how packaging is arranged for export. The minimum order quantity is quoted per colour and depends on tooling availability.
How the Factory Uses Your Submission
Once the materials are received, the factory checks if current tooling supports your design. If not, they begin mould manufacturing. If tooling exists, they proceed to quote based on material, finish, and packing. The process ensures no delays from missing information.
What Happens After the Quote
After you approve the quote, the factory confirms tooling status and sets a production schedule. If new moulds are needed, they are built in-house using cold extruding metal and mold manufacturing processes. Once tooling is ready, production begins and samples are prepared for your approval.
