Sectioning Is Decided by Form and Transport Limits

Large pieces are split into sections for shipping only when necessary. The decision is based on the sculpture's shape, weight, and the dimensions of standard shipping containers. A 300 cm abstract sculpture may be shipped in two or three parts if the form allows, but the seam is planned early in the design to avoid visible breaks in the surface. The welds are made on site, and the joint is polished to match the finish.

Production Time Is Fixed, But Delivery Is Not

The workshop states a production time of 35 to 45 days depending on the piece. This is the time from approved design to finished shell. Sea freight adds a variable period on top. For shipments to the USA, Canada, Ghana, and Taiwan, the timeline must include both the factory window and the sea transit. Work backwards from the date the sculpture must be installed.

Planning Against the Opening Date Is Essential

The 35 to 45 day production window is not flexible. If the sculpture must be standing on a specific date, the order must be placed early enough to allow for production, packing, sea freight, and on-site installation. A 300 cm piece with a 45 day production time needs to be ordered at least 70 days before the opening date, assuming standard sea freight.

Size and Finish Determine the Crate's Design

The wooden case is built to the exact dimensions of the sculpture. A 240 cm mirror polished sphere requires a different internal structure than a 150 cm brushed finish abstract form. The case includes corner protectors, lifting points, and internal padding to prevent vibration. The finish is not affected by the crate—this is why the case is part of the delivery standard.
