How the company is organised

Kerns Group operates from three locations. The Hong Kong office, Kerns Group Co., Limited, is the head office and contracting entity. Kerns Auto Parts (Dalian) Co., Ltd handles tyres, power steering pumps and hydraulic gear pumps. Kerns Group (Shanghai) Co., Ltd covers wood panels, granite and consolidated shipping. An elite team provides professional instruction to clients across all three.

Hydraulic pumps

For hydraulic pumps the focus is the tractor field in the aftermarket, covering MF, Fiat, Ford, UTB, Deutz, Case, New Holland and John Deere. Pump quality is controlled by engineers with more than twenty years of experience. This is the division where technical identification matters most, and where published OEM cross-references replace guesswork.

Tyres

The tyre products include radial truck tyres, passenger car tyres, superior quality bias tyres and a full range of extra butyl tubes. Kerns Group has strong advantages in supplying radial truck tyres. In 2009 the company sold more than 1200 containers of tyres into the Middle East and African markets.

Auto parts

The auto parts focus is power steering pumps and hydraulic gear pumps for European trucks — VOLVO, SCANIA, DAF, IVECO, MAN, Fiat and MERCEDES BENZ — and for Japanese trucks — ISUZU, HINO, NISSAN, MITSUBISHI and HYUNDAI — supplied to the aftermarket.

Plywood and wood panels

The plywood range includes commercial plywood, fancy plywood, polyester plywood, film faced plywood, MDF and HDF, veneered MDF, particle board, melamine MDF and PB, blockboard, hardboard, solidwood cabinet, MDF veneered cabinet and particle veneered cabinet. A second film faced plywood production line was established at the end of 2008, and 2009 produced an outstanding sales volume for that product.

Granite

For granite the focus is Chinese granite tile and slab for export. Granite quality receives close attention: professional QC staff control every procedure, because colour and finish problems in natural stone cannot be corrected after cutting.

Markets and outlook

Products are currently exported to the Middle East, Africa, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions, backed by many years of export experience. It is the company's belief that its reputation and future depend on the supply of good products, stable quality and excellent service.
