Client Background

Who Runs This Job

A typical buyer for this application is an advertising and signage workshop producing acrylic panels, dual-color boards, and small-batch promotional items. Order sizes vary from single prototypes to hundreds of identical panels, and the material mix usually sits between 2 mm and 10 mm acrylic, with occasional work on wood, bamboo, or paper. The workshop needs to switch between fine engraving and edge cutting without losing setup time.

Challenge

The Problem On The Floor

Signage shops often struggle with the trade-off between bed size and precision. Large beds can lack the fine control needed for small text or intricate logos, while smaller machines cannot handle full-sheet acrylic, forcing the buyer to cut sheets on a saw before loading them. Inconsistent edge quality on acrylic also leads to post-processing, and frequent changes in material thickness require manual focus adjustments that slow down production.

Pain Points

Pain Points Behind The Enquiry

  • Small text and logos were not repeatable because the machine lacked fine positioning accuracy
  • Full-sheet acrylic had to be pre-cut on a saw, adding labor and waste
  • Manual focus adjustments between different material thicknesses caused downtime between jobs
  • Edge quality on acrylic required sanding or polishing before assembly
  • Standard machines could not handle both detailed engraving and fast cutting in one setup
Our Solution

What We Specified

Weihua Laser offers two CO2 machine configurations for signage: the WH-1390 for smaller, detailed work and the WH-1325 for large-format cutting. The WH-1390 features a 1300 x 900 mm bed, 2 laser heads, and optional power from 60 W to 150 W, with a DSP control system and 0.01 mm resetting positioning accuracy. The WH-1325 expands the working area to 1300 x 2500 mm, supports laser tubes up to 300 W, and maintains the same 0.01 mm accuracy. Both machines use water-cooled sealed CO2 laser tubes and support blade or honeycomb tables, allowing the buyer to choose the bed type based on whether they prioritize edge quality or material support.

Process

Manufacturing Process

  • Acrylic or dual-color board sheets are loaded onto the blade or honeycomb table
  • The design file is imported into the DSP control system in BMP, PLT, DST, DXP, or AI format
  • The laser power and speed are set according to material thickness and type
  • For the WH-1390, two laser heads can be configured for simultaneous engraving and cutting
  • The machine runs at engraving speeds up to 60,000 mm/min and cutting speeds up to 60,000 mm/min on the WH-1325
  • Finished parts are unloaded and inspected for edge quality and dimensional accuracy
Supply Chain

Supply And Delivery

The WH-1390 and WH-1325 are stocked for immediate shipment to overseas dealers and workshops. The machines are configured with optional laser power from 60 W to 300 W, so the buyer can match the source to their typical material mix. Shipping is arranged by sea, air, or international express, with English manuals and video guidance included.

Quality Control

Quality Control

Each machine is tested for 0.01 mm resetting positioning accuracy before leaving the workshop. The sealed CO2 laser tubes are checked for consistent power output, and the water cooling system is verified for stable operation during extended runs. The DSP control system is calibrated to ensure accurate interpretation of supported graphic formats, and the blade or honeycomb table is inspected for flatness.

Outcome

Result

Signage shops can cut full-sheet acrylic on the WH-1325 without pre-cutting, reducing labor and waste. The 0.01 mm positioning accuracy allows for fine text as small as 1 mm in English and 2 mm in Chinese, making logos and instructions legible. Edge quality on acrylic is clean enough for direct assembly, removing the need for sanding or polishing. The two-head configuration on the WH-1390 allows simultaneous engraving and cutting, increasing throughput for small-batch work.

Customer Benefit

What The Buyer Gains

The buyer gains flexibility to handle both detailed small-batch work and large-format cutting without investing in multiple machines. The ability to switch between blade and honeycomb tables means the same machine can be optimized for different material types, reducing setup time and improving edge quality. The 24-hour response to technical questions and two-year warranty on the whole machine reduce downtime risk for overseas dealers.
