The logo was inspired by the ancient Chinese idiom shui di shi chuan, literally water drops pierce stone. A single drop on a granite boulder does nothing. It splashes, evaporates and leaves no trace. A hundred drops make a damp stain. A billion drops, falling year after year in the same spot, make a difference.
Not Force but Accumulation
Water is soft, formless and yielding. Stone is hard, permanent and resistant. The water does not attack the stone, it carries away a microscopic grain of dust with each fall. Over decades that becomes a groove, over centuries a hollow, and eventually the stone is pierced through.
