Tianjin Huayan Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. has built TCM herb decoction and packing machines and TCM physical therapy devices since 2008, and exports them to more than 30 countries.
What the Company Actually Does
Huayan Medical was established in 2008 in Tianjin and has stayed inside one field since: the equipment a traditional Chinese medicine pharmacy or clinic needs between the raw herb and the patient. That means herb slicing and pulverizing machines, four families of decoction machine, the packing film and non-woven bags the liquid ends up in, and the physical therapy devices used in the treatment room.
Production and offices sit at a single 5,000 square metre location in Binhai New Area, Tianjin. Keeping build, test and technical support in one building is why a fault reported in the morning can be diagnosed on video the same day rather than routed between sites.
The customers are TCM hospitals, TCM clinics, pharmacies, TCM health centres and acupuncture wards, at home and abroad. Main export markets include Australia, Canada, England, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and the equipment has now been shipped to more than 30 countries.
The range runs to 31 models across 11 categories. Every one is built to order rather than pulled from stock, because voltage, pouch size, fill volume and control panel language differ between one hospital pharmacy and the next.
Inside the Plant
Frames, control cabinets and heating assemblies are produced and tested in the same building as the offices and the technical support desk.
