Pressure water main rehabilitation in central Dubai using PE-coated flexible reinforced tube. Sanitary compliance and pressure-rating retention were the controlling project requirements.
| Location | Dubai, United Arab Emirates |
| Sector | Potable Water Supply |
| Method | Flexible Reinforced Tube |
| Diameter | DN400 – DN800 |
| Length | 1,850 meters of pressure water main |
| Duration | 6 weeks |
| Host Pipe | Steel water main, age 35 years |
Dubai Municipality required rehabilitation of a 35-year-old steel potable water main running beneath major arterial roadways. The conveyed water was sourced from desalination plants and required full sanitary compliance. Existing pressure rating had to be preserved post-rehabilitation, and the project had to be completed during the cooler winter months to minimize impact on residential water supply.
Huatao supplied the dedicated water-supply variant of our Flexible Reinforced Tube, with PE coating compliant with potable water sanitary standards. Pull-in installation through manhole entries preserved existing road surface intact. Wall thickness of 7-8 mm provided structural reinforcement while retaining pressure capacity. The sealed annular hose construction ensured zero leakage post-curing.
