What It Is and What It Does
This set of two universal solar panel spoiler mounts can be used with any aluminium framed solar panel that has a lateral length of 530 mm. It is the part that does the real work on a moving vehicle: a long profile bonded down each side of the module spreads wind and vibration load into the roof instead of concentrating it at four corners.
The 530 mm mount can be used on its own or in conjunction with the BS09009 panel corner moulds and the BS090017 180 mm panel mounts. That combination — corners plus both edge lengths — is the full ABS fixing for a large module, and it is still an entirely bonded installation with no holes through the roof.

How to Fit It
Step 1
Dry-fit the panel and mark the run of both long edges.
Step 2
Degrease the bonding faces of the profile and the roof.
Step 3
Lay a continuous bead of adhesive sealant along the bracket base.
Step 4
Bed the profiles down and seat the panel edges into them.
Step 5
Leave to cure fully before driving.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the 530 mm mounts on their own?
Yes, for many installations. For larger modules use them together with the BS09009 corner moulds and the BS090017 180 mm mounts.
Will the mounts lift in a headwind?
The profile is shaped to act as a wind deflector rather than a stall edge, which is a large part of why it is shaped the way it is. The bond area and the adhesive you choose are what carry the load.
What is the carton quantity?
Two pieces per set, sixteen sets per outer carton.
Which panels does the 530 mm length suit?
