What It Is and What It Does
This set of two universal solar panel side spoiler mounts can be used with any aluminium framed solar panel that has a lateral length of 180 mm. Where the corner moulds hold the panel at four points, the spoiler profile spreads the load along a whole edge — which is what you want once the module gets large enough that point loads start working the frame.
The profiles are extremely weather-resistant and ventilate the module from underneath. They are supplied in black but are suitable for painting any other colour to match the mounting surface, and every fixing position is already marked on the bracket if you do decide to drill rather than bond.

Against the 530 mm long side mount

How to Fit It
Step 1
Offer the panel up and mark the bracket positions along the short edges.
Step 2
If you intend to paint, paint the profiles and let them cure before fitting.
Step 3
Degrease the bracket base and the roof.
Step 4
Bond with an adhesive sealant, or drill at the marked fixing positions if the surface allows.
Step 5
Fit the panel into the profiles and leave the adhesive to cure fully.
