No Drill Adhesive Mounting for Caravan Roofs

The problem the range was designed around

Bright Solar Power designed a product specifically so that there is no need to drill a hole on a camper, caravan or motorhome roof — it uses glue instead. That is the entire design brief, and everything else about the ABS range follows from it.

Black first, then white

The range launched in black. White was added afterwards and is now available across the corner mounts, side profiles, cable entry boxes and kits. On a standard white caravan or motorhome roof the white version is the one that looks like it came from the factory.

What the mount does besides holding the panel

A bonded mount is not just a substitute fastener. The profile acts as a wind deflector over the leading edge of the panel and maintains the correct air gap between the panel and the roof top or deck, so the module can shed heat. The corner moulds also protect the panel corners from damage.

Where bonding is not the answer

On a metal roof, a timber cabin or a pole, a mechanical fixing is simpler and stronger. The aluminium Z and L feet exist for those cases, and the flush mount kit can be bonded with Sikaflex 221 if you want the aluminium part without the hole.
