What It Is and What It Does
The white BS090025 is a waterproof housing for fixing to the roof where the solar panel cables enter, for use wherever a waterproof seal is required around the cable entry hole. It carries two fully waterproof IP65-rated glands in one plastic box, for caravan, motorhome and RV solar roofs.
It installs the same way as the black version: the body is secured to the surface using a suitable sealant and can be screwed down for extra security; once dry, the cables are passed through the glands and the lockrings tightened to form a waterproof seal. It takes 6–12 mm cable and is packed 100 pieces per carton.

How to Fit It
Step 1
Site the box away from any part of the roof that gets walked on.
Step 2
Drill for the cables and degrease the area.
Step 3
Bond the box down with sealant, adding screws if required.
Step 4
Allow the sealant to dry fully.
Step 5
Pass the cables through and tighten the lockrings.

Can I use only one of the two glands?
Yes. Fit the cable you need and keep the second gland closed with its cap so the box stays sealed.
Is it walkable?
No. Site it clear of walkways; the range specifically advises against using these boxes where they will be stood on.
How is it fixed?
Bonded to the surface with a suitable sealant, and it can be screwed down as well for extra security.
