What is Silicone Water Repellent BL-EM03?
BL-EM03 is a type of low molecular weight siloxane / silane emulsion. The siloxane and silane content contain excellent hydrophobic groups of methyl and octyl, as well as active groups of alkoxy, hydroxyl and epoxy which are easy condensed and hydrolysis. Thus when BL-EM03 penetrate into pores of porous brick concrete, its active groups reacts with hydroxyl in substrate or self-condense to form a waterproof network structure called hydrophobic film, which prevents water form penetrating, but does not affect permeability to gases and water vapour.
