Why Packing Units Decide Your Landed Cost

When you source accessories from several workshops in one trip, the packing unit on the quotation is what your warehouse actually receives. A carton of thread and a carton of buttons do not stack the same way, and a unit quoted loose can arrive as loose cartons without any count on the label. Every line below lists the packing unit we quote, so you can compare like with like before the goods ship.

Thread and Zipper Packing

Zippers are bagged 100 pcs per bag, which lets a workshop draw one bag per size and colour without opening a mixed carton. Both units make stock counts at goods-in a matter of counting boxes and bags rather than pieces.

Lace Trimming and Button Packing

Trimming lace is wound 36 yards per card and packed 100 cards per carton, so yardage per colour converts straight into cards ordered.

Interlining and Hook and Loop Packing

Fusible interlining comes 50 yards per roll, with 10 rolls packed in a sack bag, which protects the roll ends from crushing in a consolidated load. Hook and loop is supplied 20 yards or 25 metres per roll, so you can order by the unit your cutting table already works in and keep widths and lengths matched to the marker.

How Mixed Lines Go Into One Shipment

If you order thread, zippers, buttons and lace together, the lines are consolidated into a single shipment rather than quoted and shipped separately. Each line keeps its own packing unit and carton marking, and the packing list shows carton counts per line per colour. One bill of lading, one customs entry, one set of documents to clear, instead of chasing four small shipments through the same port.
