LED Shower Heads
The water tells you how hot it is before anyone steps under it.
These heads carry an LED driven by a small generator in the water path. There is no battery to fit, no battery to replace, and no service visit when it dies, because nothing in it runs flat. The colour is set by water temperature, so the shower reports its own heat: a scald risk becomes visible from outside the cubicle. The company states this series and the water-saving showers are its most popular lines in the market.
No battery, ever
The light is driven by a generator turned by the flow itself. When the water runs, the head lights; when the water stops, it goes dark.
Colour equals temperature
On the documented handheld, green runs below 32°C, blue from 33 to 41°C, red from 42 to 45°C, and red flashes at 46°C and above. The rainfall head starts its green band below 28°C.
Reads from outside the cubicle
Because the colour is in the spray, a parent or carer can check the water from the bathroom door rather than by putting a hand under it.
