Why Hardware Has a Minimum at All
A plating run has a fixed setup whatever quantity goes into the barrel, and a die cast mould has to be fitted to the machine. The minimum exists to cover those setups, not to protect a price list.
Catalogue Styles
Many catalogue styles start at 1,000 pieces, and that quantity can normally be split across two colours at 500 pieces per colour. For a small brand this is the difference between testing two finishes and guessing at one.
Custom Parts
Custom pullers, sliders, handles and locks start at 500 pieces per colour. Customising an existing catalogue style needs no new mould and carries no mould fee, which is what keeps a small custom order viable.
Stock and Trial Orders
Where a style is in stock, a small order can be accepted and goods can leave within one day. A trial order is paid in full, and bulk orders run on 50 percent deposit with the balance before delivery.
Finished Straps Are the Cheapest Way to Test a Range
Finished adjustable webbing straps start at 100 pieces, so a colour range can be put in front of real customers before any hardware quantity is committed.

Can I Mix Two Colours Within One Minimum Order
On most catalogue styles yes, at 500 pieces per colour within a 1,000 piece order. Tell us the styles and colours and we will confirm per line before you order.
Do You Charge a Mould Fee
Not for customising an existing catalogue style. A genuinely new shape needs new tooling, which takes about 7 days, and our team can prepare the 3D design free if you have no drawing.
