iButton kits manage 100+ tags and suit fleets. Passive RFID handles 500+ ID numbers and suits large driver pools or car alarm systems. Fingerprint identification covers 50 to 100 drivers. A Bluetooth beacon adds automatic arm and disarm and anti hijack. A mobile phone can act as the tag where no hardware should be issued.
With a Bluetooth beacon, the system arms when the driver walks about 10 metres from the vehicle and disarms as they return. With fingerprint, passive RFID or iButton, it arms at engine off and disarms when a legal tag or fingerprint is presented.
Illegal ACC on and illegal door open both raise an alarm and immobilise the vehicle while armed. In an anti hijack event with a Bluetooth beacon, immobilisation waits until vehicle speed is below 30 km/h.
