What This Product Is
A polyethylene cap seal in 77mm, 81mm, 86mm and 87mm, supplied in red, green, blue or a customised colour. It fits over the closure of a plastic drum to give a tamper-proof and waterproof cover, and is applied and removed without tools.

How to Specify and Use It
Measure the closure and select 77mm, 81mm, 86mm or 87mm
Fit the seal over the closed bung after filling and sealing the drum
Check the seal is intact at each handover point in the chain
Remove the seal at the point of use and fit a fresh one if the drum is resealed
Comparison With Other Products
The cap seal is a secondary security cover, not a closure. The plastic drum closure itself is what seals the drum; the cap seal goes over it. Both are usually specified together on regulated or high value product.
