The 12.1 and 15 inch units are bedside and theatre instruments, read from the foot of the bed or across a theatre. If the trace has to be read from the doorway, the larger screen is not a luxury.

Standard parameters and modules

Confirm which parameters are standard on the platform and which are plug-in modules. A monitor quoted without the module you need is cheaper for a reason.

Ronseda also supplies plug-in modules separately, so a parameter channel can be added to an installed monitor or a failed board replaced without changing the unit.

Battery runtime decides transport suitability

If the monitor moves with the patient, battery runtime is a clinical specification rather than a convenience. Specify it against the length of a real transfer, including waiting time, not against a best-case figure.

The 5 inch touch-screen unit is specified with a built-in rechargeable lithium battery and supports both AC and DC power for ambulance use.
