Why quotations stall
Most enquiries for cord sets arrive missing two or three details, and the exchange that follows costs more time than the order. This is the list we work from.
The checklist
1. Destination market, which fixes the plug pattern and the approval. 2. Plug pattern, if you already know it. 3. Appliance end: IEC connector, moulded outlet, ring terminals or stripped leads. 4. Voltage and current the cord has to carry. 5. Cable gauge and type, or the load and environment so we can select it. 6. Cord length. 7. Jacket colour and any printed marking. 8. Quantity and expected order frequency. 9. Packing format, retail or bulk.
If you do not have all of it
Send a photograph of the cord you are replacing, or a drawing. Between the plug, the connector and the printed cable marking we can usually reconstruct the specification and confirm it back to you.
What happens next
We reply within twelve hours with the construction, the applicable approval and the price. A sample follows for you to fit to the product, and production delivery is three to four weeks.
