Two gases, one cabinet

A mild hyperbaric chamber needs two supplies: pressurised air to raise the chamber to working pressure, and concentrated oxygen for the user to breathe through a mask or nasal cannula. The Oxygen Times All-in-One machine combines the oxygen concentrator and the air compressor in a single compact body, which is why the chamber range quotes one unit rather than two.

Concentration

The soft-shell packages deliver up to 93% oxygen concentration with a tolerance of plus or minus 3%, through a mask or nasal cannula. Larger integrated systems are quoted at up to 93-95% depending on configuration. Anyone quoting 99% from a pressure-swing adsorption concentrator is quoting something that concentrator type does not do.

Flow rate scales with chamber size

The pattern is straightforward: one occupant, one 10 L/min stream. A two-person chamber needs double, which is why the OHS Series is quoted as a 10L system or a 20L system rather than as one machine with a bigger label.

Delivery method

Mask or nasal cannula on the chamber range. The OHS Series uses an oxygen headset connected through 6 mm tubing with quick-connect interfaces, which shortens changeover between users.

Compressor behaviour matters more than people expect

The compressor runs for the whole session, not just at the start, because a soft-shell chamber continuously exchanges air to keep CO2 down and the interior fresh. That is why oil-free and low-noise are specified: the user is inside the room with it for an hour.

Planning a second chamber

Keeping the gas system consistent across chambers is worth more than a small unit saving on the second machine. One spare parts list, one set of hoses, one training session for staff.
