Industries We Supply

Problems Solved

What This Equipment Is Brought In To Fix

  • The quay runs at 50 Hz while the vessel needs 60 Hz, or the reverse
  • Auxiliary engines burning fuel at berth create emissions and noise in the port
  • Vessel switchboards need an IT system with neutral insulation that the local grid does not offer
Core Advantages

Where The Specification Actually Differs

  • Capacity from 1000 kVA to 4000 kVA in one product family
  • Output at 50 Hz, 60 Hz or 400 Hz with 0.01 accuracy
  • Container type units rated IP65, indoor type rated IP32
  • Overall efficiency of 95 percent or better at full rated load
  • 6 pulse, 12 pulse or PWM rectifier front end to suit the harmonic limit on site
Application Scenarios

Where These Units Are Installed

  • Quayside shore connection for container and cruise berths
  • Shipyard fit out and repair dock supply
  • High voltage shore connection at 6.6 kV
FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask

What capacities are available?

Standard ratings are 1000 kVA, 1250 kVA, 1600 kVA, 2000 kVA, 3000 kVA and 4000 kVA.

Can the converter be installed outdoors on the quay?

Yes. The container type is rated IP65 with air conditioning cooling. The indoor type is rated IP32 with forced air cooling.

What output voltages are possible?

Output voltage levels are customised per project. Rated output line current is published for both 440 V and 6.6 kV systems.
