Backup Power and Outage Resilience project delivery
Solution

Backup Power and Outage Resilience

Keeping critical loads alive through utility interruptions, sized by what has to stay running and for how long rather than by the size of the incoming supply.

Stage By Stage

What Goes Wrong At Each Stage And What We Do About It

  1. 1

    Critical load definition

The problem. Backing up the whole building costs several times more than backing up what actually matters.

How we handle it. We start from the list of loads that must survive an outage and the hours they must survive it, then size from there.

  2. 2

    Transfer design

The problem. Equipment that trips on transfer time defeats the purpose of the backup.

How we handle it. Inverter and battery are selected for the transfer behaviour the sensitive loads tolerate, and the changeover is tested at commissioning.

  3. 3

    Battery selection

The problem. Backup duty and daily cycling duty wear a battery differently.

How we handle it. LiFePO4 formats are matched to the duty - deep daily cycling, standby reserve, or both - and to the space the site actually has.

  4. 4

    Integration

The problem. Battery and inverter from different brands frequently will not communicate.

How we handle it. We confirm the CAN or RS485 protocol against your specific inverter model before the order ships.

  5. 5

    Service life

The problem. An untested backup system is discovered to be broken during the outage it was bought for.

How we handle it. Monitoring is configured at commissioning so state of charge and faults are visible before they matter.

Backup Power and Outage Resilience - Project Questions

What information do you need to quote this
Load profile or billing history, site drawings or roof plan, the destination grid standard and the outcome you are targeting. With those four we can return a configured design rather than a price list.
How long does a project like this take
Lead time depends on configuration, quantity and grid approval in the destination market. Grid connection approval is usually the longest item and sits outside our control, so start it early.
Do you work with our EPC or installer
Yes. We supply the equipment, the design documentation and the commissioning sequence, and support your contractor remotely or on site depending on the scope agreed.
Can the system be expanded later
Yes, where the expansion is designed in from the start. Tell us the expected final size at the beginning so the conversion stage is specified with headroom rather than replaced.
