The handle is the only part of an umbrella a person has continuous physical contact with, and the tips are the parts that break first. Both are specified per order rather than fixed by the model, which means a construction can be moved up or down a price tier without changing the frame.

Wood

Turned wooden handles, straight or curved, used where the umbrella is positioned as a gift or a retail product.

EVA

Foam handle with grip and a soft feel, available in colour to match a shaft. The standard on golf models.

Rubber

A rubberised stick handle that grips when wet without adding bulk to a folded umbrella.

Plastic

Moulded straight or curved handles, economical and available in any canopy-matching colour.

Leather

A leather-finished handle available for premium programmes.

LED

An illuminated shine handle that lights the shaft from inside, used on the Night Safety LED Umbrella.

  • Tops and tips are wear parts. Plastic tips are standard on the golf models and are the component most often damaged in transit.
  • Sleeves can be printed, which gives a second branded surface for the time the umbrella spends closed.
  • Straps and pulls are an embroidery surface when the canopy itself is printed.
  • Carton marking matters when several models ship together and receiving has to split them.
