Company

One Source For The Metal And The Finished Part

HLMET CO., LTD. is one company that mainly supply Titanium, Zirconium, Hafnium, Vanadium, Niobium, Tantalum, Chromium, Molybdenum, Tungsten, Beryllium, Nickel and Cobalt metals. In this site, we listed some titanium and zirconium fasteners in stock.

01

What We Make

Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V fasteners in five head styles, plus commercially pure titanium and titanium alloy products in flat-rolled and long forms, net-shapes and components.

02

Who We Serve

Buyers and design engineers who need titanium zirconium niobium tantalum and other specialty metals in mill forms or as finished fasteners.

03

What Problem We Solve

Steel fasteners corrode and cost mass. Stainless pits in chlorides. We hold Grade 5 titanium in 114 sizes so a joint can be converted without waiting on a mill run.

04

Why Customers Choose Us

One source for the metal and for the finished part, from ingot billet bar rod and wire through to flowform parts precision forgings and machined parts.

Material

Why The Fastener Is Made In Ti-6Al-4V

The reason to pay for titanium is not the metal itself. It is what the joint stops doing once the steel is out of it.

Weight

Titanium has a density of about 4.43 g/cm³ against about 7.85 g/cm³ for steel. Swapping a steel fastener for the same size in Ti-6Al-4V removes roughly 44 percent of the mass of that fastener.

Strength

ASTM Grade 5 is specified with a minimum tensile strength of 895 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 828 MPa, so the strength is in the range of a medium strength alloy steel rather than of aluminium.

Corrosion

Titanium carries a stable oxide film that re-forms as soon as it is damaged in air or water. It resists seawater and chloride environments that pit and crevice corrode common stainless grades.

Non magnetic

Titanium and its alloys are non magnetic, which matters around sensors, imaging equipment and magnetically sensitive instruments.

Selection

How To Pick The Right Size In Four Steps

Thread first, then length, then head style, then drive. The stock list is built so each step narrows the field.

Metals We Supply

We also supply specialty metals, in long product forms such as ingot, billet, bar, rod, wire, shapes and rectangles, and seamless tubes, plus flowform parts, precision forgings and machined parts.

Standards

Titanium Standards We Work To

Our titanium products are made to the ASTM B series covering strip sheet and plate, tubes, bars and billets, forgings, welding fittings, seamless and welded pipe, and wire.

Applications

Where These Fasteners Are Used

Application areas that follow from the properties of Ti-6Al-4V. Send your own drawing and duty and we will tell you whether the alloy suits it.

Motorcycle and bicycle assemblies

Brake calipers, disc mounting, sprocket and rotor bolts, engine covers and chassis hardware, where every gram is counted and road salt attacks plated steel.

Motorsport and performance vehicles

Suspension, brake and drivetrain fastening where unsprung and rotating mass is reduced without dropping to an aluminium fastener.

Marine and offshore fittings

Deck fittings, rails and underwater hardware in constant contact with seawater, where the stable oxide film outlasts stainless in chloride service.

Chemical and process equipment

Covers, brackets and mountings on plant handling chlorides, bleaching chemicals and wet process streams.

Electronics and instruments

Housings and mountings near sensors and imaging equipment, where a non magnetic fastener is required.

General weight critical engineering

Any assembly where the total fastener count is high enough that a 44 percent mass reduction per fastener becomes a meaningful figure.

FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask First

Which titanium grade are the fasteners made from
Every fastener listed on this site is made in Grade 5 titanium, the Ti-6Al-4V alloy carried under UNS R56400. It is specified in ASTM B348 with a minimum tensile strength of 895 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 828 MPa.
How many sizes are held in stock
114 sizes across five head styles. Threads run from M4 to M10 and lengths from 8 mm to 95 mm. The full list with dimensions and prices is on the products page.
Do you supply titanium in mill forms as well as fasteners
Yes. We produce high strength commercially pure titanium and titanium alloy products in flat-rolled and long forms, net-shapes and components, and we supply specialty metals as ingot billet bar rod wire shapes and rectangles and seamless tubes, plus flowform parts, precision forgings and machined parts.
Which other metals do you supply
Titanium zirconium hafnium vanadium niobium tantalum chromium molybdenum tungsten beryllium nickel and cobalt. The grades and UNS numbers we carry are listed on the materials pages.
How do I get a quote
Email [email protected] with the thread size, the length, the head style and the quantity. For a size that is not on the list, send the drawing or the standard number and we will quote it from bar.
Can you supply a size that is not on the stock list
Yes. The stock list covers the sizes we hold ready to ship. Other diameters, lengths, head styles and titanium grades are made to order from bar.

Send The Thread Size And The Quantity

Tell us the thread, the length, the head style and how many you need. If the size is not on the stock list we will quote it from bar.
