What The Remote Monitoring & SMS / Email Alarm System Does
Howcool's remote monitoring system extends the PLC and HMI with cloud-based 24/7 monitoring. A gateway connects to the on-site PLC via Ethernet or 4G LTE and pushes real-time data to our secure cloud platform. Owners, managers, and Howcool's after-sales team can view all temperatures, compressor status, and alarms from any web browser or mobile app — no special software installation required.
Alarm escalation is fully configurable: temperature excursions trigger an SMS within 30 seconds to up to 5 recipients in priority order, with email backup. If the first recipient doesn't acknowledge within a configurable time (e.g. 5 minutes), the alarm escalates to the next recipient. Howcool's after-sales team can be added as a watchdog — we'll call you if you miss an alarm. HACCP and GDP-compliant data retention for 5 years.
