Extrude the profile, then CNC the interfaces
Aluminum extrusion pushes a preheated billet through a hardened-steel die to a constant cross-section. AS Precision then machines the cut length — holes, faces, threads — so the profile becomes a part.
Uses named on the page: simple boxes through structural aluminum, scope mounts, electrical radiators, and frames. After quench and age, long-axis strength is higher than many competing forming routes.
Send the profile drawing and the end-feature drawing together. The press and the machining center are scheduled as one job.
Questions buyers actually send
Which alloy should I specify?
6061 and 6063 are the two alloys the source page names as most common. Other 2000/5000/7000 grades appear on the general machining list, not as extrusion defaults.
Can plastics be extruded here?
The page lists nylon, PC, ABS, PP, PVC, and PS as extrudable on request.
