The Receiver Is Wound For One Voltage
A radio control set is a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter runs on batteries, so it is the same on every machine. The receiver sits in the crane panel and is built for the control voltage in that panel: AC380V, AC220V, AC110V, AC48V, AC36V, AC24V or AC/DC12V. Order the wrong one and the set either does nothing or needs an extra transformer bolted into the panel.
Where To Read The Voltage
Open the crane panel and read the coil voltage printed on the contactors that drive hoist, long travel and cross travel. That is the control voltage the receiver has to switch, and it is often not the same as the 380V supply feeding the motors. Send that number with the enquiry and the receiver is built to match.
What The Receiver Actually Switches
Receiver outputs are full sealed relays rated 5 amperes. They are sized to pull contactor coils directly, not to carry motor current. If your panel uses a PLC input instead of contactor coils, say so, because the wiring into the panel changes even though the receiver does not.
Truck And Mobile Equipment Runs On DC
Truck mounted equipment, electric carts and some winches run on DC24V or DC12V rather than an AC control circuit. Receivers are built for AC/DC12V and AC/DC24V as well, which is what an Australian buyer used on their F24-12S truck sets.
Record It For The Next Order
The S/N and channel are printed on the back of the transmitter and the receiver. Write the voltage next to them in your maintenance record. A replacement transmitter can then be built on the same channel without touching the receiver or the panel wiring.

Some receivers are specified as AC/DC12V or AC/DC24V, and others cover a wide AC range. State the panel voltage on the enquiry and the correct build is quoted.
What happens if I order the wrong voltage?
The set will not switch the contactors correctly and you would need to add a control transformer, which is the cost the matched receiver is there to avoid.
