The disposable bacterial and viral filter protects the breathing circuit and the patient from cross contamination, without the moisture return of an HMEF. Filtration is BFE 99.9 to 99.999 percent and VFE 99 to 99.99 percent, with 32 ml dead space, a 250 to 1500 ml tidal volume range, 22M/15F-15M/22F connections and a weight of 25 plus or minus 3 g. A gas monitoring luer port with retainer strap is fitted.
