Diagnostic Imaging Centres

An imaging centre lives on throughput and on the patients it can actually scan. Systems that stall for tube cooling, that cannot take a claustrophobic or larger patient, or that need a building the centre does not have, cost referrals rather than just money.

Pain points

What Goes Wrong In This Sector

Problems Buyers Report

  • Tube cooling pauses interrupt a full scanning list
  • Closed bore systems turn away claustrophobic elderly and larger patients
  • Conventional MRI siting requirements exclude many existing buildings
  • Helium supply and refill cost is a recurring exposure on superconducting systems
  • Paid software option packages hide the real cost of a system

What They Need Instead

  • Anode heat capacity and cooling rate stated so list throughput can be planned
  • Open magnet geometry for patients a closed bore cannot serve
  • Siting requirements supplied before the equipment ships
  • Application suites included rather than sold as options
  • Thin-slice capability where inner ear and pulmonary nodule work is part of the caseload

How we work

From Requirement List To After Sales

Caseload review

The studies you actually run decide slice count, thin-slice requirement and whether dual energy matters.

Siting check

Room area, shielding and power requirements are supplied so the building work runs in parallel with production.

Configuration and quotation

Application packages, workstation and accessory configuration are quoted as one system rather than a base price plus options.

Installation and commissioning

Commissioning arrangements are confirmed at order, including acceptance testing against the protocol.

Service

Online service support covers centres without a local engineer, with fault self-diagnosis on several systems.

FAQ

Diagnostic Imaging Centres Supply Questions

How much space does the open MRI need

Less than 56 square metres, which is what brings MRI into buildings that cannot host a conventional superconducting installation.

Does the open MRI need helium

No. It uses a permanent magnet, so there is no helium requirement and no refill cost.

What slice count should we specify for CT

The 32-slice system reaches a 0.275mm thinnest slice for inner ear and pulmonary nodule work. The multi-slice system delivers 64 slices per rotation with a 5.0 MHU tube for higher throughput.

Is a portable ultrasound available for field work

Yes. The palm and laptop colour Doppler systems are supplied for veterinary and field use with multiple probe options.

Do you support installation and commissioning

Installation and commissioning arrangements are confirmed with each order. Send your site details and we will set out what is required.
