Why This Programme Exists
Private label is not a product, it is a chain of approvals. Artwork, lab dip, sample, packing, documents. Each one is a place an order can stall, so the point of this programme is to move every approval to the front where a delay costs days rather than weeks.
The 8 Stages And What Goes Wrong At Each One
Each stage names the risk before it names the answer, because that is the order a buyer meets them in.
Enquiry and specification
Problem. You send a target size, weight, decoration and landed cost, or a physical towel to match.
How we handle it. We reply with the workable combinations rather than one quotation, so you can see the trade between weight, size and decoration.
Artwork and design
Problem. Logos and motifs have to be translated into a weave, an embroidery file or a print.
How we handle it. We tell you which method suits the artwork before any tooling is committed, and send back what the design will realistically look like in that method.
Lab dip and colour
Problem. Screen colour and dyed cotton are different things and approving the wrong one costs a bulk run.
How we handle it. A physical lab dip is matched to your Pantone reference or swatch and sent for approval before bulk dyeing.
Sampling
Problem. The sample is the contract. Everything after this is measured against it.
How we handle it. A production sample is made in 10 days for you to wash, weigh and photograph before the bulk order is confirmed.
Bulk production
Problem. Weight and shade drift is the main risk once the looms are running.
How we handle it. Weaving, dyeing, washing, cutting and hemming run to the approved sample, with the finished weight checked before packing.
Packing
Problem. Retail packing done at source removes a repacking cost at your end.
How we handle it. Woven labels, hang tags, header cards, barcodes and retail bags are applied during packing to your artwork.
Documents and shipping
Problem. A missing certificate holds a container at the port.
How we handle it. Oeko-Tex Standard 100, AZO free testing evidence and the commercial set travel with the shipment.
Reorder
Problem. A reorder that does not match the first delivery is a new problem, not a repeat.
How we handle it. We keep the approved lab dip and sample reference so the second delivery sits beside the first.
