Plug inserts are the brass pin and carrier assemblies that sit inside a moulded plug. Cord set makers buy them as a component so they can mould their own plug bodies without running a pin stamping and assembly operation.
Cord length, cable gauge and type, jacket colour and the connector at the appliance end are set per order. Complete OEM services are available.

How It Is Made
The plug is moulded directly onto the cable on our own tooling, so there is no screw joint and no field wiring. The company runs first class producing equipment and advanced mould processing equipment, and quality control is applied at each stage rather than only at the end.
We supply inserts and pins in several national patterns. The Swiss insert, for example, is specified in H62 brass with PBT and 30% thermoplastic resin, a surface free of air holes, shrink holes, burrs and cracks, a flame that self-extinguishes within 30 seconds and no puncture under 2700 V for 5 seconds.
